I used to think the same thing, but I ended up caving. I couldn't help myself.

@Shmellmopwho does great work! BAMF apparently didn't notice that the frame thickens behind the front wheel an extra 1/4" of thickness. So when installing my sliders they didn't sit flush, Ryan saw this and quickly busted out his skills to counter the issue and got the sliders on perfectly.

@TheTacoShack 's build looks awesome in person. Can't wait to see more progress. That long travel suspension tho :jerkoff:

Thanks bro, I think it was just a flaw on the front legs. Easy fix. Thanks for the kind words. Hopefully I'll be able to do a little more work on Elijah's truck soon!

Some pictures of my night installing the Total Chaos long Travel 3.5 kit with King Extended travel 2.5 Coilovers with adjustable resi's.

The extended axles were definitely the most difficult portion of the night. Was able to knock the outer more difficult joint off with a heavy short sledge and a fitting from a press. I can take more pictures and show how I did it if people are interested .

I am located in the South Bay of Los Angeles, im open to any offer on my stock arms and shocks . Couple bucks, beer and a fist bump. Not too worried about it. If you need it let me know

I don't even know how I got here, but now I'm staying. sub'd

I might've missed it in my skim through... but what is going under the flat bed? It seems like there will be a lot of space under the pull out drawer?

Not your everyday Taco build thread? Thank you for the sub!
So top drawer is a luggage pull out drawer from a Greyhound bus/RV type deal. 800lb capacity rollers. And it's lockable so that is where my rescue gear , more expensive camping gear (if it fits) and possibly a shotgun will be.

The wider storage are below it will have another door to it and will hopefully hold fluid containers for water and extra fuel. Oil and coolant , brake fluid and some trans fluid as well. And it also fits my tent nicely

Definitely not the every day taco build. I like the fender guards on your rig.. I've been thinking about what to do for "flares" to keep me legal and something similar crossed my mind. Nice to see them on a 2nd gen taco for reference!

Lower storage area usage makes sense. I was kinda hoping for something like "super crazy on-board water using RV tank and pump, plus an aux fuel cell plumbed into the main tank" after seeing the rest of the build, though!

I know, I do the same thing. It's bad. My wife the other day goes "how much more stuff are you going to do to that truck?" I was like: "Well.... I'd like to add a second battery, I need the front bumper, winch, some off-road lights, and a few other things..." I like the flatbeds myself. If I had more $$$ I think I'd get a T100 or Pick-Up and restore it with flatbed.

Great build! Keep the Pics coming!

I have about 500 Miles on the Long Travel Kit now, it's really settling in, I think I will be adjusting the height about an 1.5in higher then it sits now just to level it / rake it upwards just slightly. Hoping to find some time this weekend to heavily trim my front fenders (Anyone need Silver stock fender flares?) and prepping the truck for the Cab mount chop and 35's

Side note: yes the two spares are different and at the time not usable other then absolute emergency, matching TRD beadlock wheels and tires are in the works . But just another thing to buy $$$
