I tried the online thing. It will get things started but in the end they want you on the lot. They will say come and lets talk blah blah blah

When I pushed the "see internet price" button at a stealership near me, it just asked for contact info. Then an interwebs dealer lady e-mailed me "here's your car" and I responded "no it's not." Wrong car and wrong price. Then I called her because that's how civilized humans should do (i.e. Not separated by technology). I asked her "what's the internet price?" And she said "oh we usually knock another $200 off." What a gimmick.

My experience was completely different. I inquired about price. I had someone email me back. Gave a fairly good price to start with and then we emailed back and forth a few times then talked on the phone. I paid a little to reserve it and picked it up a few days later. Very easy and solid experience! I will say I did put money down so that might have helped in negotiations.

That's the sign of a good dealer when only half the stuff they say is B.S. More often it's nearly everything they say that's B.S. :D

NE Arkansas here.....just bought a 2017 DCSB SR5 4x4. Paid 34,500 AFTER TAXES, TITLE AND FEES. So...32 something before all that. 6.5% Sales tax in Arkansas. Anywho...I love how they flip the screen around and "show you" they are loosing money on this deal. Overall, I was happy with the experience, and I love my truck. Although....someone did rub their front bumper down by driver side backing out of a parking spot. Haven't even had it a week. ;-( They left no info, of course.

    LOL.

You did good. Got a 4x4 for the same price I paid for a SR5. Sucks about the damage, though.

That sucks. Sh!t like that is one reason I have a dashcam with parking mode. Some people have no consideration for others.

Yeah...I took it to a body shop buddy of mine. It's not dented, just left some of their white bumper nastiness on my mag gray paint. He buffed it off pretty good. It did ding up my wheel flair a little. Hard to see from a couple feet away. Still makes you sick though.

The way you do online is don't ask them what you'll pay, tell them. See the truck you want, figure up your trade in and what the new one will be (your price not theirs), only include tax in your state to the end price (don't figure in fees or other bs). Then follow that up with I will come today if you can accept this deal, I already am pre-approved for financing. They'll either come back with a "hell yes!" Or a price close to yours. I did this very thing and they came back with a $500 difference but I kinda low balled them to begin with. I kept my word though, I told them I'd by that day and I was there to sign the papers an hour later.

The Miles on the Odometer have nothing to do with it. Destination and Delivery is what you pay for the truck to get from the Factory to your Dealership.
