Think of buying svc manual..OEM OR HAYNES..???

    Have anyone used OEM svc manual and is it same or better than Haynes..?? Thnks in advance:)

    Check out the FSM on-line ... I think you'll see the difference in detail. 06+ Tacoma's are near the bottom.

    The haynes manual is like a coloring book compared to the Helms FSM.

    The Helms manual, although expensive, will have every possible detail you could ever need. Their troubleshooting flow-charts are a lifesaver when trying to troubleshoot electrical problems. From my experience, the Haynes manual seems to lack a lot of necessary torque specs also.

    Just use the online version posted above, 99% of what you will need to repair hasn't changed much since '06.

    And, you can buy two days of access to the exact current manual for your year on toyotaowners.com for $15.

    I did that e.g. when pulling my seats and headliner, because the 06 manual at ttora doesn't have any info about the side curtain airbags.
