Thats a tough call. I guess it would depend on how bad the smell really is. I smoke in my truck but everyone that get in thinks otherwise. Then again I have been in cars that people smoke in and I doubt you could ever get the smell out regardless or replacing the carpet/seat fabric.

Are you comfortable with paying 19k for the truck? 19k sounds like a decent deal, not the greatest but not bad.

I'm really comfortable paying that much, especially if they do all that stuff and the smell is gone. LOL.

I would do that one if the headliner was replaced too. it's going to be holding the most smoke.

well, passing on this one too. Price is too much out of my budget after everything is said and done.

Still looking at the first one in my thread, the AC compressor was bad, so he is having that fixed. It's a nice truck, and I think the mileage is pretty low for an 05. I'm gonna keep looking though.

Not sure how much experience you have with dealers but just in case nobody ever told you.

Never discuss payments with a dealer. Talk bottom line price. The Nissan dealer wanted to do that with my wife's car, turns out the price was more than sticker.

Im paying cash, so bottom line price is all I am concerned about. :D Just paid my wrx off and have it sold. Screw having another car payment.

Best of luck on the truck search! I just did the same and finally purchased an 07 Double Cab Prerunner 2wd. It has 90k miles on it, but the available car fax reports confirmed that it had been maintained regularly by the dealer. I'm with you on the 4wd part...if not necessary, it'll save you a few thousand dollars in most cases.

Just make sure you read those car fax reports and like our friend above said, never talk monthly payments OR useless warranties with the finance guy!

Trust me, If I could keep it as my weekend warrior/auto x toy, I would. But it's paid off and needed the money to buy the tacoma.
