Count how many TSB's have been issued for your current truck and then count how many have been issued for the 2nd generation.

24,000km's. The driver side window fell out of mine, 02 sensor went, knock in the steering column on rough roads (going to call eventually), thats about it. Nothing serious

Personally, I'd say to just stick with the truck that you have right now. If it is still running well, then what replace it for? Unless you just wanted to get an additional truck for weekends and stuff

I am definately not keeping the truck I already have. I really want a newer one. Besides, mine is old, primer gray and ugly lol. I think the plan now is to sell it. I'm going to use my other car (06 civic) as my trade in. My wife currently drives it but treats it like it is a 74 pinto. The car is trashed. I've had enough of that, so now I want to have the nice vehicle and she can have the junker and trash it all she wants. So ideally, I will have to look for a 07 and up double cab LB. That way I still have 4 doors and a bed for the occasional work around the house, and I can still haul mountain bikes every weekend.

sadly, I've only put Husky Liners in it thus far - tend to blow all my cash on my bikes and guitars.
I've just ticked over 42,000miles on my '08 -- no problems other than a strange low frequency vibe from the front right hub when i'm making slow left-handers under 10mph -- can't seem to find the problem unless it's a CV issue.
Other than that - not an issue anywhere else on the truck --

I actually have a jeep now. Imagine that.
i've got about 25k on my 08, no issues. My dad just turned 130k on his 06 (v6, 4 door, long bed) and he still uses it everyday for work. no problems for him either.

15,000 on my 2010 dc PreRunner..Got a "Nail in a Tire" light this morning. Looked around and all looked good. Checked all with a gauge and found one with 26 psi and a small tack in it. I was impressed! Change the oil every 4 k miles--No problems.

111,000 miles on my 06' and I'm iffy on whether or not I would buy another Toyota. Way more problems than past F-150's I've had. Also, Toyota customer service is a joke. Don't get me wrong, I love my truck, and it gets me to where I'm going (for now), but I think there are better/safer options.

Added extra awesomeness to its original awesomeness.
106K on my 05, the little cap covering the lighter broke off and the mad flaps have broke. Other than that, nothing yet.

83xxx on my 2005 - no motor mount issues. I have had some repair work done, but that's only because I abuse it

Got er' in February of 2008

2008 PreRunner with 42K Miles (12K of those are city miles, the rest are highway)...NO Problems, but more like annoyances.

1.) My A/C Stinks often. Lysol trick solves that

2.) My brake pedal feels waaayyy to soft, i should not have the pedal to the floor to come to a stop in some instances.

I have about 30K+miles on mine and no problems short of me draining my own transmission.

As for the tail gate, I had a 250lbs washer sitting on the tail gate with me 175lbs standing on there with it and it didn't buckle yesterday.

My 08 had about 42k on it... only issues were the access cab door alignment, rugged fails off the lot (tires sucked, fixed with new tires), and the blower motor made some noise (also changed out).

'10... about 8.2k on it now, and I'm having a vibration at 60mph (sadly starting to think it may be the transfer case). Other than that and minor trim fitmit issues, no problems.

Either way, way less problems than my G35 ever had.
