I can tell you this: the A/C is not reliable!

I've done so many mods to this truck it turned out to be a Dodge Ram 2500! WOW was that expensive!!
Everything on my 05 2x4 dbl cab works great. I only have about 70,000 miles. Did replace factory battery sometime ago. I have been squeak free since I did the squeak mod several months ago!

I think it's a great little truck and I'd buy one again, but this time there'd be an extended warranty, bumper to bumper. Mine has 73 k kms and the compass/thermometer went out at about 60k kms. That was an expensive replacement; now the A/C compressor has been replaced, and with a bargain price Delphi compressor, and non- stealership shop, the all up total is still over $1250, which includes a new condenser/dryer.

    just a cap.
I have a 2010 V6 w 7500 no problems at all. Only problem is recent a squirlle chewed the knock msensor wire, which tripped the check engine light and trac controll light. Toyota fixed it for abot 750.00 but it was not covered by warranty. my truck does sit alot and i live in a state park. But the mechanic at the dealer ship said this was the second one in the past month. my be a design problem.

I had a 1999 222,000 miles when Toyota gave me a buy back I could not refuse. That was hands down the best car, Truck, bike I ever owned. still had the original clutch, rear brakes, even all the blubs. It was unreal.
My 08 TRD II has 48K just over two years. It had a water leak when I purchased it, A bad one it took them 4 trys to fix it, they should have given me a new Tacoma. They replaced the blower motor two times and its broken again. New clutch at 30k, having problmes with new one. new tires about 35k, broken glove box tried to fix 4 times still broken, visor clips replaced, floor mat recall BS, The bed is crooked, lots of clunking noise when driving, I replaced some bubls. I'm sure I forgot a few things. The sick thing is I like the Tacoma I just got a bad one. As for the 6 speed Im not a fan of auto's. I read that the auto jumps in and out of OD when using cruise control. As you can see I keep it clean, like I said I do like it just bad luck.
With all that I would still buy one, what are the odds of getting one like mine. Or get 55K and buy a Raptor :D

I have around 169K on an 05 DC PreRunner and have had no major issues. I did U joints, front pads and a battery at 150k. Other than that just changed the oil and put tires on it.
