Hi. I have a 2014 regular cab 4x4 stick with the 2.7 in it. I'm running 265/75/16's and bilstein 5100's set at .85 over stock right now. I've been wanting to put a cap on it for a while now, and now have the money. My questions are, #1, will the extra weight of the cap slow this little guy down much more than it already is? #2, how much lift, (if any) will I need in the rear to get it sitting about stock again, (Maybe a little taller, I can always set the Bilsteins to 1.75 in front). The truck is used mainly for camping trips/ exploring the desert out here, and does see some rough, rocky trails, and climbs. Thanks!

    To answer your questions
    1) You might notice a little bit of the added weight, but not enough to regear your truck. Now if you wanna run a 285 or 33 AND a shell with the 2.7 4cyl...u might as well get out and push. It will be slower for sure if you don't regear. I know. I did it on my 2002 reg. cab. Running through the mountains/hills sucked.
    2) You prob won't notice THAT much of a "bro-lean", especially with the shorter wheel base of a reg cab. I have a Leer on my 2010 dcsb. I notice a very slight rear rake. Definitely not enough to worry about.
