If your children are in school then consider a move with cost of living and good schools. I was all over the map for years then settled here for:
    1. Employment
    2. Schools
    3. Cost of living

Little crime here, good infrastructure, family oriented towns. If you are single then in no way would I recommend moving here. The economy hasn't hit this area nearly as hard as other cities and we are still growing on the southern and northern ends.

saskatchewan has one of the best economies in the world and we were barely effected by the recession.

I agree with OU812, I have lived on the Kansas side of Kansas City my whole life and it is a great place to raise a family. There is also a lot, and I stress a lot of golf courses. Cost of living is very reasonable as well...

Tennessee is great, I'd love to live there someday... Great land, people, and is a beautiful state. Good luck wherever you move!

He's wrong, Texas is a great place. I could handle living there just fine.

This is very true. Regardless of OP having a family there will be plenty to look at.

    Must be a liberal

The females in Austin are ohhhhhhhhh-so-fine!!!

Texas has no state income tax, cost of living is low, winters are mild, and the people are friendly.

Oh yeah, if you are a liberal...it's the worst place ever, so don't move here
