Thinking of buying All-pro skids, looking for some reviews from people who own them

    All-pro APEX front bumper, 4xInnovation sliders w/kickouts, ATO front skid, Smittybilt XRC-8 winch, Icon 2.5 Front coilovers with 700lb King shocks, 5100's on the rear, TSB Toytec AAL, slimcubby HID headlights, debadged, Magnaflow muffler, AFE drop-in, Python 991 Remote start/alarm, Clarion NX501, Wet Okole's, Weathertech digifit floor mats, Midland CB, Blue 4' Firestik II, Tailgate anti-theft mod, power tailgate lock, rear differential breather relocation & yellow wire mod.
    How do you like them and how have they held up? Are they durable enough for moderate off-roading? I'd like ATO skids but don't want to mess with rerouting the exhaust crossover pipe and All-pro makes a full setup that protects it, as is, and they have free shipping right now.

    I like mine, I have the front, tranny and transfer case skids. For moderate to some hard wheeling they are great, I've had mine since 08, I have put them through some rough stuff.

    Thanks for the input so far guys. Just found Budbuilt's skids too and it's only $130 more for their skids and I've heard good things about them too. Decisions, decisions...

    BB are definitely a lot beefier. I had a set that I almost put on but decided to stick with AP since I don't wheel as often. Didn't want the extra weight for my DD

    I kind of feel like that might be best for me, too. I love to wheel but I really don't have a lot of opportunities to go very often where I live. My Taco is also my DD, so AP may work out best. I also have some rock sliders that I'm getting welded on soon, so less weight is nice.

    I had the AP skids on when I also had the BB skids in hand. The BB skids are for sure heavier. It just wasnt for me. Good luck on what you decide

    I put Buds on my wife's truck because they were thicker and they connect into one piece for s smooth surface to slid across rocks without getting hung up. Pink is optional of course! :D

    If it's moderate offroading, you don't need skids to begin with.

    If you do need skids, you need real skids...get some ATO or BB.

    If you can get buds, I have all pro and its fine but the buds have more coverage. I do not care for the all pro trans skid at all. I have one and I felt for 80 bucks it was worth it but its a rock catcher and buts right up to the transmission.

    Oh GTFO. Some people are always "go big or go home." There IS shit in between. Like I said, I've taken my truck in places that needed skids and sliders and my AP skid held up fine

    People can bash all-pro, but I tore up my stock skid in January and got an AP skid plate and transfer case plate. I agree on the transfer case, but I'm still happy it's there. As for the skid plate, I'm happy that both combined weigh 57lbs, I didn't want too much weight on a 4-banger dd. And all those people who say you can't use an "All-Poo" skid plate with a floor jack are wrong as well.

    Not as tough as budbuilt or ATO, but if you want to save on weight, I think they're nice.
