What an odd thing. It lasts for a few seconds. Guess you can't buy a Samsung TV. The start up noise would drive her into a grave.

Nice setup! I have the same dash cam and same setup. I am very pleased with the ThinkWare F770 and very glad I made the purchase. I can't see myself ever owning another vehicle without front and rear dash cams.

Thread revival... Does anyone know if the f770, f800, and f800 pro take any SD card?
-Any pics of the visibility of the camera from outside the vehicle?
-Lastly, do you know if the f770/800 is available in all black?

With SD cards you need to be cautious - while consumer grade cards will work for a while, they don't tolerate the heat and constant use like the industrial grade cards do. I've had multiple consumer cards die after a few weeks or months. The branded (ThinkWare or Blackvue) industrial-grade cards keep right on working. for more info research the difference between SLC / MLC / TLC microSD cards.

Are the think ware ones priced high? Or can same quality cards be found elsewhere? Will look into the different types.

Haven't looked in a while. When I did last look the branded cards seemed not *too* different in price from industrial grade cards and it was just easier to buy the branded TW card and be done. If it didn't work it was TW's problem not mine. :)

in the cab. No reason to go out to the engine compartment when both constant-on and ignition-switched sources are available inside the cab.

Rear cam has no issues with the back window tint, day or night. License plates are easily readable.

If OP or anyone else is around, can you post a pic of what fuses you used for wiring power?

OP @gpb ...I notice you live in Atlanta so I'm wondering how well your camera has held up to the summer heat since installing back in 2016. Any issues with the hardware or video quality?
I did see that you mentioned the consumer grade SD cards don't hold up to the heat very well.

I don't have the F770, I have the F800. The rear camera works fine even with the factory tint. I've attached a day and night rear shots while the taco was parked. It's more grainy when the taco is moving.
