    A year ago looked at a very new but used 4R at the Toyota dealer in town. Test drive was not impressive and powertrain was about the same as my 2nd Gen Taco been driving for 11 years, not impressive. Was walking out and the salesman talked me into taking a 19 GX 460 Luxury for a test drive. I knew in a couple of minutes that I found everything I wanted and then some. 4 years old with 40K on it and half the price as new because no "Toyota Tax" on Lexus.

    Did I mention it has a V8? The last of them. What more could a fella want?

    Full time 4 wheel drive with center diff lock, 4.6L V8 engine, KDSS- Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System has 80% more articulation on GX than 4Runner, Leather-trimmed heated steering wheel, headlight washers, adaptive radar cruise control, heated and cooling ventilated seats, Panoramic view camera with multi-terrain monitor, Three-zone climate control, 17-speaker Mark Levinson audio system, sunroof, 5 speed crawl control, skid plates, fog lights, MTS (Multi-Terrain Select) modes for Mud & Sand, Loose Rock, Mogul, and Rock, Adaptive suspension and rear-axle self leveling air suspension (AHC, active height control).

    Added TRD Pro 17” wheels (post SEMA) with Wildpeak 265/70 AT3W, updated blackline edition grill and headlights, Expo One rock sliders after cutting factory side steps off and front bumper trim.

    Should be good to go for another 4 or so years then lightly used GX 550's should be hitting the market. My next vehicle.

    Stay away from driving a GX, far away. Or you will be find out what you've been missing. Just saying, it bit me in the butt LOL.

    Well so is your new 4Runner! I'm still laughing over @Pixeltim location of 77 square miles surrounded by reality. I dated a lady from Madison for a while, no one warned me when I moved here about that 77 square miles. Now I know....

    Two issues with the GX460. Pre 2022, no carplay/android auto. And premium fuel.

    And now the 22/23’s are very expensive.
