I noticed in the discussion on your wheels in a facebook group, a competitor posted a picture of a cracked and destroyed Ray 10. Thought you should be aware of it.

This is my post on ig and this is my truck.
    Here is the story.
I was with a group of friends in Death Valley on Mengal pass going about 30mph down a relatively smooth but gravely/small rocks road. I was aired down to about 20psi. Then at one point my car started to very quickly feel absolutely not right while driving and I quickly called out on the radio that I needed to stop and pulled over and found this. Out of sheer astonishment I posted this, just kind of looking for an answer because this seemed to come out of nowhere. Everyone in the group was shocked. Quickly after posting I realized what negative backlash this post could pose for a company I fully support, despite my very small Instagram following, and I deleted it to avoid this exact situation. Let me be clear that I support SCS and I think they are a great company, they did immediately replace my wheel at no cost.
In retrospect, what happened? Flukes can happen, to any wheel, to anyone.
I also tend to break stuff offroad a lot, tho this situation seemed unique. The possibilities for what could have happened? Maybe I hit a small rock at the exact wrong angle and didn’t notice, causing a crack in the wheel and loss of the tire bead and then rolling at speed over rocks on any wheel would shear it in half. Or maybe somehow I just lost my bead on its own and I lost all the air and again, rolling on literally just the wheel for a couple hundred feet over dirt and rocks may break it just like this. The exact reason for the cracked wheel may never be answered, but what I can say is that SCS stands by their product and sent me another wheel no questions asked. Wouldn’t you support a company like that?

And please send anyone who is reposting this photo to me and I will gladly tell them I fully stand behind SCS, their products and their way of doing business. One bad incident should not tarnish a company’s reputation and one persons shocked and inappropriate response by posting about it should not be exaggerated and blasted all over the internet to try to do harm to a good company. I will stand up for scs any day so please spread this, in response to that photo. Thank you

Thanks for the facts. I removed the picture.

Now if we could just keep people with competitive agendas from being douche bags.
