i got my tacoma 1 1/2 years ago. i stumbled upon this website while doing some research on the truck. the first thing i did was replace the stock stereo/speakers with Pioneer equipment. the step by step instructions on this site made it a breeze. i also used the forum for instructions/advise on oil/trans/diff fluid, did them all myself. when it came time to pull a boat to the lake i hopped on the forum to get my truck's towing capabilities... valuable info. next im getting a 2.5 inch lift/new shocks, planning on doing the install myself. this forum has indeed saved me alot of cash:D

The opposite has happened to me. When I first got my truck i was just going to leave it stock. But now I want to buy all kinds of stuff for it. But I couldn't be happier with my truck. This is a really good forum.

I am definitely in the same boat. The more I work on my truck, the more I like it.

One problem--there really isn't anything wrong with my truck. :D

OEM roof rack, Shorty antenna (eBay), soft tonneau cover, K&N drop in air filter, bed mat, interior LED lights, 5100's, MT tires to come soon!!!
Haha I agree with both. This site and the members on this site have saved me tons of time and tons of money. Alot of knowledge and know how on here.

And I also bought my truck to leave stock and drive back and forth to school but know im saving ever last dime I have so I can hopefully one day redo my suspension and some other stuff to her.

New Pioneer stereo, and all 4 speakers with Infinity components. Sirius satellite radio. Deckplate mod done. Door buzzer silenced forever thank God, tinted windows, vent visors, hood protector(bug guard), ceramic pads and new rotors, dechromed EVERYTHING. 2" Lift front 3" rear. Skyjacker AAL's and replacement leafs(and front spacers) from Fatbobsgarage.com. Skyjacker 7000 Hydro rear shocks, those Bilstein 5100 fronts are coming soon!
Yeah this site has cost me a lot of money too. The constant need of upgrading!!!

Really...This site has brought me and my Taco closer actually. All the good ideas y'all give. The help when needed. I love my taco and Tacomaworld.

you can get a locker for $300.

I'd do lift and tires at the same time, because running a 2-3" lift with 31's looks stupid.

This site is rough for me....
Its more of a "look that truck has it, why cant mine?"
Buy buy buy, paint, ungrade, mount, balance, drill hole, paint, upgrade, buy buy buy.....

you'd be fine with any type of locker since you dont really get snow or ice (exepct last winter) ever, which is where lockers dont do very well on the road.

from what i have read, some lockers will not allow for smooth driving around corners and can eat up tires

thats true, and those are full time lockers.

automatic lockers (like Aussies) do not engage unless you're accelerating.
