I just lifted my truck via spacers and called up the dealer to re-align it. (they were the cheapest in the area) They looked up for factory re-calls and found out it needed new ball joints. I was sittin waiting for the truck to get done when it dawned on me that when you put ball joints in you need to re-align it anyway. I hit up the service guy and he tried to fiddle around the subject but I knew i was right. So, the alignment was free. So if you haven't had your ball joint recall taken care of, lift it and take it in to the dealer. :) I always like free, especially at the dealership. So far this has been the best alignment job I have had. Steering wheel is now straight and she don't pull no more.

I'm also wondering if there is a way to find out if this repair has been performed or not on my truck.

You can have the dealership run the vin and that will tell you whether or not is has been repaired.

Sorry to hear they wouldn't replace em green bean. I would assume that lifted or not its still possibly a bad ball joint.
