I haven't pulled my door panels yet to have a look at what is in there or to reseal the liner.

As far as fog lights I went with some cheapo Winjet kit for my 05. Came with everything needed. Of course if the housings have an issue I'll replace them with some TYC housings. I plan on experimenting a bit with the fog lights. I may run some 9005 bulbs just for grins. They are high beam bulbs so I may need to adjust elevation afterwards.

That sounds cool. I'll look into it just not sure on how much I need to take off and run the wires inside. I've seen cheap full kits on eBay but haven't pulled the trigger just yet.

Speakers seem like it would be easier. I think mine are 6x9 in front and 6.5 rear but I gotta look that up. Should be a fun upgrade!

Took this pic this weekend. Bought a set of trd take offs with tires from a guy here for $550. Traveled about 100 miles to get them but well worth it.

LCE Header was the single best mod I did to my 4cyl as well. Butt-Dyno proven for sure.

I got mine on Amazon after cross referencing the part number on the Winjet website.

My only gripe is the switch must be wired in wrong as it stays lit all the time. My guess is its bridged with the main power supply to the switch. I may have to investigate further and find where they are attached within the loom.

I've had the factory speakers for a long time. I'd bet they need replacing but if I open the door panel I will be adding some vibration absorber like dynamat on the door skins. Not needed but I would like to do it anyway.

Nice rig. Mine is a single cab 5 lug with entirely too much abuse taken. The 5 lug front end is still original too. Not sure how everything is still tight but hey I'm not complaining.

I like clean music rather than a raspy exhaust but I remember when my gasket between the cat pipe and the muffler crapped out my truck sounded awesome at idle. Drone was insane at 45 MPH.

Well that's something not to look forward to. I was thinking 3 way speakers will make it real clean. Maybe some kickers or equivalent high quality. How long have u had your lce header? Any problems?

Don't personally own one as I have not had to replace the OE header yet. As far as my opinion of them I do believe they are the best design for the 2TR-FE. I've modified plenty of vehicles and personality the LCE is a header I recommend to any 2TR-FE owner.

Speaker wise I've used all kinds in my old 2nd gen Ram. What I liked was the Pioneer 3 way 6x9 speakers. They were very clear and had plenty of low end punch with clean highs.

You can fix exhaust drone with a resonator.

What I'd like to do to the 05 is add a small amplifier to the system and of course upgrade the speakers. My head unit I replaced years ago with a Pioneer with HD Radio back before they were all the rage. Great investment for the 120 bucks I paid.

Very nice. You prob won't need an amp for the speakers. You would get more out of the speakers than I would with my stock head unit but I'm sure it'll still be an improvement over stock. For you it will prob be day and night difference.

I still want the additional output an amp would provide.
Many times I have added small amps to sound systems and had fantastic results and an overall improvement in sound quality.

Can't go wrong with an amp. I normally installed them on subs never on the rest of the system.

I was thinking about your lights. Can't be difficult wiring. Check your switch, maybe the contact is stuck or welded. Maybe all you need is a new switch:confused: take the switch out with the lights on and take a wire off the switch. See if they shut off.

Gone over the Top for a 5-lug..
I had the LCE "street performance" header installed November - I didn't do it - i had a shop do the whole exhaust re-work utilizing the stock length LCE header, a new (Toyota service bulletin) replacement Cat/Resonator mid-tube, and a re-configured rear exhaust setup using the larger volume Magnaflow 22" p/n 12586 canister.

My 5-lug is carrying more weight than normal, with all the farkles and armor added to it - in addition to messing around with the final drive ratio in mildly up-sizing the rim/tire combo. Short of re-gearing the truck (right now 3.31 OEM final drive gearing) to 3.73, I was looking to shift the peak torque delivery down on the rev range. It was laggy, with the original exhaust in terms of overall acceleration post weight and wheel-set changes.

I'm happy to report that with the slightly aggressive sounding exhaust, that goal was largely achieved. Seat of the pants perception indicates that off-idle acceleration is improved.

Little poorish-quality dash-cam video i did, post-install - there is a bit of a jingling/rattling sound in the back-ground .. sorry, that was a jingling cup-holder of change being caught by the dash-cam.

Sounds very quiet for all that work. I just installed the delta 50 and it seems loud for my taste but everyone's taste is different. From 1.5 to 2k rpm is real deep like everyone states. I'll have to do some sound clips at some point when it isn't raining out.

Reasonably quiet, but with aggressive undertones when you get deeper into the throttle pedal, is what i was going for when i selected/figured out where i was going to go with this. Sound properties were secondary of course, to improved exhaust flow characteristics that i was theoretically going after.

Like everyone else doing some research on the topic, i paid close attention to 'Tooter' 's 2.7L header/exhaust comparo thread... I wasn't going for a raspy rice sound that seemed to be the norm with smaller canisters.. as such, i went with a larger canister with more internal baffling.
