I've ordered a slimline bumper from a TW vendor. It has 3/8" recovery points and made from 3/16" steel. I've been told by another source that 1" recovery points are the way to go. I've asked the vendor and I can upgrade to 1" for an additional fee.

I'm looking for an unbiased opinion on this as I'm new to the armor game. I'd rather hear from real world experiences and people with much more experience than myself.
So 3/8" is sufficient or spend the money on 1"?

3/8" steel is a sufficient material for recovery points. I have been building and selling bumpers with 3/8' recovery points for over 10 years without a single issue. 1" recovery points are popular from what I have seen due to aesthetics and the fact that the shackles fit that width a bit better while rattling around less. Also, the additional strength certainly doesn't hurt anything.

Thanks for the info! I'm going to stick with the 3/8".

I use isolators to help with the rattling. Got my Seahawk green on at present.
