Going to be buying a set of 37s next and have a wheel question…

for context, I’m currently running a 3.5” long travel up front, JD fab pivot kit set all the way forward and I’ve heavily tubbed… if that won’t fit, nothing will.

My current wheels are 16” SCS F5s with 3.5”/-25 backspacing/offset. I’m looking at going to new 17” wheels, either method beadgrips, or icon rebound pros, but both only come with 0mm offset options.

For this of you with 37s on the truck, did you need the backspacing? I’m hesitant to run spacers. Let me know what you think.

Honestly never been a fan of nitto . In my opinion, they're not worth the money. They're just a name. The only good tires I have ever seen nitto make are their competition street tires for drifting and racing .

I know nothing about tire manufacturers, I just avoid Chinese tires. I really only am considering them due to them being the only option for 37x11.5

    Anyone have wheel recommendations
I might be wrong but I think 17x9 3.5BS -38 is the only way to have tires not the frame rails. Leaning towards SCS f5 for weight but if anyone else knows more affordable options that are also light weight then please let me know

Got everything bolted up today with the 37s, still learning how to walk since I'm clearly packing so much heat down there now.

Went from SCS F5s with 3.5" BS/-38mm offset to Method's with 0mm offset. I was surprised they fit with no rubbing and no wheel spacers, still deciding if I want to run wheel spacers to get close to where the tires were before the wheel change, so I have some suspension cycling to do.

Once you start cycling the suspension, the one thing I will say and I have noticed on others with the 37s is you probably have to do a cab mount relocation and a mini firewall tub . And that's all needed for articulation while you are turning your wheels. I know I'm the OPs truck That's what he had to do to get full articulation. He also getting 1 in body length and had the trim fenders front and rear

Luckily that’s all already done. Body mount relocate, front is also moved forward an inch with JD fab lower arm pivot replacement, and tubbed out at the firewall and inner fender.

Good to know, I have the same SCS wheels and I’m afraid with that much offset it’ll make clearing 37s even more difficult. Glad to know +0 offset still clears UCA and frame. Running spacers/offset will make wheel have more radius arc.
