Im heading to Portland Oregon next month for a wedding which is about 5 hrs away and Im pretty sure im taking a different car.. not the truck :( if i had the time and was taking the truck id love to meet up and check out Oregon considering ive only been ther twice: once about 5-6 years ago by the coast riding quads and once in portland last year. But i havent been aroumdto check it out to much! Looks like a great place to explore! Plus meeting you and checking out your truck would be cool

Even though I live in Sac and wouldnt care to move to Portland... I've always liked the mountains, woods, camping, hiking and mountain biking and the only time I did visit Orego I liked it alot... even when youre in town and in the city you feel like youre in the woods! Thats cool to me :)

Heyyyy so is running 2" rear spacers with 37s probably a really bad idea?

Probably not compared to how bad of an idea 37s are lol. I dont think it is adding any extra risk myself as long as they are put in right

I just hear a lot of horror stories of the lugs sheering off. Is that just from improper torque?

    Yep^

I've taken my wheels off about 100 times and have been running 35+ tires for 3 years. Never replaced a stud or lug nut. Never threadlocked a spacer and never had one come loose.

TORQUE, PEOPLE. TORQUE. 90 ftlbs for every wheel nut.

37s are actually an amazing idea

But fuck no on the spacers. That would create problems.

Yes, you are right! Ive taken mine off tens of times. That is the reason I always work on my own truck other than when I took my truck in to get new tires and wheels... im not a fan of having shops working on my truck amd are using a inpact to tighten my lug nuts! I always put them on by hand and tighten them by hand. I know anything is possible but so far I have never broke a wheel stud off

That extra .5" is not noticeable???.. im running 1.5" front and rear since I cant quite aford LT but id like in the near future to run LT. Main reason other than performance/ travel ir for the sake of my bearings and joints. Maybe by the time im ready to get mine more guys will wanna SAS their trucks and ill get a used LT. :D

In place of LT, no. On a axle that turns, no. To match width for better stability, maybe.

The cost of getting custom shafts, and retubing the rear axle is not only a waste of money, but the cost of that is equal to the cost of a few sets of bearings, if I could find someone to do it correctly.

It is an option, but not cost effective for me at all. Running spacers hasn't cost me one wheel bearing in 75000 (Since I installed them)hard km of running them.

They're not the greatest idea, but they're an alternative to wasting money.

So you're running rear wheel spacers? I just wanted to run 2" rear spacers to match the upcoming front LT. I was just worried that the weight of a bigger tire would want to shear them off.
