    Yeah you def won't want a full time locker or welded gears for a dd. Although I know plenty of guys that drive their built rock crawlers on the street but they def don't dd them. Haha

    I dd 4 years with a lunchbox locker... 60k miles, Loved it. Fuck open diff. Also, not everyone can afford 1100$ lockers plus the compressor plus wiring it up... My $300 locker lasted until I upgraded. Then, that lunchbox locker ran 2 years until I exploded it. I'd never run lunchbox on big tires and extreme wheeling though.

    I've been running a powertrax for over 2 years now on 35s and wheel pretty hard and dd the truck. It's been great so far and does awesome on the street

    Yeah that's it. It never snows here. All that crap about death winter storms this year and it snowed 1 day here. Having said that, I just got back from an off road trip in Kentucky where we got there the morning of them getting 15" and not a single road, pavement or trail, was cleared off. But what specifically do you wanna know? And taking corners is no different then when open. If you let off the gas then get on it again in a corner then it will make the truck jump but that's about it. I can chirp tires while turning if I give it gas or not if I don't but either way it's really no different

    Lots of bolt on chrome stuff
    Buddy has a Detroit in his truck and hates it on the road. They're not great for ice/snow/rain/etc. He likes it in the woods though and it's low maintenance and has been reliable.

    Here is what happened to mine. not trying to scare anyone away from them, but I feel like they are better for a rig that sees more dirt time then pavement time.

    Yeah it's pretty smooth on road and very quiet as well. I don't consider it a full time though because it does unlock but when it's locked, it stays that way. I've seen no disadvantage between other lockers, as far as doing what I bought it for. And that seems like a strange question. Have you heard something bad about that? I don't notice any difference from open as far as turning while going slow or fast. Leaving "hard" from a dig I can tell a difference in the torque and axle wrap from open though. And then read below
    Yeah this is still funky to me. Haha If I'm on a slippery incline and go in reverse, the locker likes to stay open and just spin one tire. So in weird random spots I have to switch to 4wd to start moving. Haha I don't know what that's all about but it's done the same thing since I put it in. It doesnt do it if I am already rolling or if I'm already in a 4wd spot trying to back up. Only when I'm sitting in a wet driveway with an incline and start to back up or in a muddy spot trying to back up. Its never done it in forward, only reverse.

    n0rth is running a 12.5" wide tire on a 7.5" wide wheel. Though I think that tire is a bit on the skinny side for a 12.50.

    I would like to run 10's with a 12.5" wide tire but with these military tires being r16.5's wheel choices become really limited
