There are less expensive options, and you probably won't be as hard on stuff as I am. I'm sure you could get dorman studs for a toyota celica from the parts store that would work just fine. (celica studs are longer)

Opening day of what? I was all over hell and highwater today. Got caught in a blizzard near Olive lake. There is still tons of snow around Granite and Sumpter. 39.5's would be no problem if you tub the floor an inch or so. I have a sawzall, lets do it.

I'm just wondering if I can run 37's with a 3 inch lift, fiberglass, cab mount chop, and a BFH. This dude said screw that and went 40's. Awesome

Oh. Sweet man! Can't wait to see how it turns out.

Edit: Just saw this in my FB feed and it reminded me it's totally possible. Of course, the solid axle makes it easier, but still... gives you some motivation.

Ive read his whole thread. However his is a bit older and I have a few issues with figuring out the whole wheel/speed sensor thing before I go solid axle. That and I figure ill wait till I blow the front up first :D Its easier to explain to my wife then

I'm really on the verge of getting 37's and just doing 3" lift with fiberglass and a grinder w/ cutoff wheel. Someone talk me into it.

Think I might just buy the wheels now so I can't change my mind and then buy tires and lift when more money comes along. Pro Comp 16.5x9.75 $300 for 4

Are you regeared? I wouldn't even want to feel how underpowered a 4banger would be with 37's

I will regear when I install the tires. Probably also going to add LCE long tube headers to give me a lot more power in the 1500-2500rpm range.

You'd be fine with 4.88's. Probably a bit under powered. 4.88's with 35's feels like stock. Slightly overgeared.

My 4 cyl (granted its the 3rz) with small 37s and 5.38s still feels like I have no gearing haha. After I added the supercharger I think I went back to "stock" I can't speak for the newer 2.7l, I've got no idea how they are. I'd still probably recommend 5.13s or w/e toyota uses.

Rctoy has 5.38's with 40's and said it's pretty close to stock. He can light them both up on pavement to, but his 3.4 has the S/C on it.

2nd gens can only go to 4.88's. No one makes a 5.29 for the 8" clamshell... 1st gens can go to 5.29's though.
