    Well it's at least a start. So far it looks like they'll fit. May rub some at full lock and stuff, but I haven't beat on the firewall at all yet either. I have about 2" at lock between the firewall and the tire as it sits

    Wow you did go deep. I was debating on cutting into mine again and going a bit higher with my tubing. Feared going to much into my floorboards, but after seeing yours I think I could do it.

    Haws , do you rub the firewall at lock/stuff now? I'm assuming so if you're thinking about cutting more. From the pictures does it look like I cut more for the tub than you did? We really were just guessing. I hope we guessed right, I don't know that I can talk Eddy into doing this again

    Did you pull your coilovers out when testing full stuff? When I was doing mine with a BFH, I had the C/O's pulled and had a floor jack under the skids. I would drop it down and check where I was rubbing, then just lift it back up and apply the BFH. Then repeat until the rubbing was gone. I even drove it around some on the bumps to factor in some dynamic bump compression and looked for rub marks on the fender wells. From the looks of it, I beat my firewall back farther for my 33's than you cut out for your 37's and I still have some rubbing on occasion (though not in the rocks).

    Nope, I just looked at it and said, that corner needs to go, and hacked it off. I figure more beating will need to take place, but this will get me started. So far I haven't touched the firewall with a hammer other than to lay back the pinch weld.

    I bought a "smoothing bit" for the air hammer which I'm hoping will allow me a little more finesse in moving the firewall

    Keep in mind this was done on a serious time crunch. Eddy fit me in in his day off for a job I know he rather not have done. This is my daily driver and only transportation and I work tomorrow. We started at 7am and busted ass all day, and I'm thankful for the help and what we accomplished. I by no means believe that they are completely fit and ready to go, but I think it's pretty well on its way, especially considering what the truck is built for, IE trailriding and modderate rocks/wheeling. I don't get real crazy in this thing.

    No I don't rub at all, however I cut deeper towards the frame. You cut higher though. I never cut up enough to see through the floor. I thought if I did a little more I could get a 39.5 Irok on (-;

    I haven't tried pushing back the firewall either... I do know of a hydraulic device that might come in handy in doing that though

    Hey Cap, I know you went with the 16.5" wheel but what's the BS on them?
    Thx! Truck looks mean! :thumbsup:

    They are 4" BS and I have a 1/4" spacer from Wheelers in there to help clear the caliper. Really a 1/2 spacer would be better. I had to grind a little on the caliper to get the wheels to turn

    This might be why Im not rubbing, Im running 4.5" BS on 16" wheels. What I was told by the tire shop is if I put spacers or ran less BS id get more tire swing thus more likely to rub at full lock?????

    That sounds correct. 4" and 2.5" are the only BS that ProComp offer, so I had limited options there. If it rubs I'll beat on things. If they still rub, we'll cut things. It's just sheet metal. May take a few tries but they'll get in there

    Less backspace would also put you closer to the control arm and frame though, I believe

    I wonder if ProComp will do a custom backspacing

    I can move the firewall easier than I can move the frame. So I'll hold what I've got.

    did some mall crawling today to see what hit and what needs to be cut next. This area is low and flat so this was the best thing we could find to flex on. Tub volume 2 will hopefully take place this coming weekend. Looks like the rear lower fender bolt needs to be moved back so I can take more out of the back of the fender. The panel we put in this yesterday will get cut out. I have the inner fender marked but we'll be going several inches higher and farther back towards the frame. For now it's drivable so that covers this weekend's goal. The area near the headlight is also either going to be beat back or cut and tubbed 98f73643c9e936aa4520dfa1c4afef67_22dc93bb44a169f11cfa68b23af6b50279d6f540.jpg4f57d4d5217e3c160e35287a8c183532_3e61e202c1cc1284ccf6625cc7ebdaf04a42dedc.jpg06fa79362478988ef237e6e7e8450feb_5cc742041ede7a7fab37f3d0472493a631015474.jpga791bf8c5150c194027a41d4070b387c_f82cbe49ee6d1d6e6e3d0eaabf17a45c2a2dd880.jpg3645977f6eeccadee8f390c209c4161f_221440957a77e2aceaa6b90cce08700ea5372e68.jpga331839b4486c82f6e99d005b750414f_96df0b1799bdea69a47f037d5c8029185902b07e.jpgfd3373cc5f0c5df510b9e3e594bc8379_a0e4d5330587f4851bef81c4f9bd9e24d295e1e6.jpg
