    They are nice, no mucking with driveshaft angles, carrier bearing shims, fixing vibes that only show up on a full moon while doing 45.3 mph. Slap that one piece in and be done with it, best thing is that they are cheap and plentiful. Save your money from a tom woods shaft, toyota makes the strongest driveline you can find for the price. Only downside is that the bolt pattern is different so you have to get a double drilled pinion flange or just mark and drill the holes yourself.

    I never bent a tie rod with 33s but with 36 and 37s seem like it is more common. What I do is set up a new inner/outer tie rod with the same thread count as what's currently on my truck that way when it breaks you swap the whole assembly out and don't need to worry about the alignment. MOOG tie rods are pretty good quality and cheap on rockauto. I haven't bent a rack yet but I'm hoping with cheap chinese tie rods they stay the fuse haha

    I hated swapping out the rack, nice thing about tie rods is you don't necessarily have to take the tire off

    And keep in mind Cap and others that a lot of breaking has to do with driving style and just bad luck, not big tires and low gears. Obviously they help but as some here can testify to, people have broken ring gears on stock tires and people have survived quite awhile on 4.88s and big tires

    I just found out you can't get the yokes at most parts stores, so if you think you'll ever need one go ahead and order a couple online. About $45/each

    Ouch, you're better off just buying a used junkyard shaft and installing a new u joint. Can't believe the yoke costs that much, think it's a spicer only part, and yota doesn't sell subcomponents only the whole drive shaft lol

    Trailgear recently started making gear driven cases for Tacomas. I haven't heard much about them though, not that I have looked.

    Bummer, thanks for the part number though that will come in handy in the future I'm sure.

    Being a chain driven case with a planetary reduction gear, there is no option for different gear ratios unfortunately. You would have to reengineer the whole housing to fit a different gearset in there.

    Just keep your eyes open, the deals will pop up, don't act to anxious or they might overcharge you lol. U less they have all new ujoints I wouldn't pay more than 75 for one.

    The trail gear reduction box is a shitty version of Marlin or inchworm boxes, I wouldn't recommend my worst enemy run one of those. You haven't headr much because people have wisened up and nobody probably bought one lol

    That I enjoy your company. Haha I'm just glad I'm not the one who breaks shit all the time.

    Keep in mind that a one piece driveshaft is gonna be more susceptible to damage and will be more likely depending on the wheeling you do. I'd recommend at least running a track bar with one
