Mine weighs 4080 lbs wet, on a certified CAT scale, and I don't have stock axles. The difference between 37's and 40's is 1.5" more ground clearance, they are not much bigger. Also my current wheel and tire combo weighs north of 150 pounds, per corner. If you went with light aluminum wheels and a lighter AT style 40", they would be considerably lighter and easier on hardware than my double beadlock 12 bolt steelies. Just sayin'.

When these tires wear out I'm doing it just because you guys say I can't. Have me lookin' like this dude pretty soon.

Super Swamper IROKs weigh 85 pounds a peice. Pro comp steelies are 39 pounds. So that's ball park 125. So with a lighter wheel you wouldn't be much heavier than my 285's and steelies.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
I'd feel sorry for putting the engine up to turning those heavy beasts, be cool but probably slow as hell. I have 37's on my diesel, but I don't even know they are there with that 525lb/ft of torque. 35" is as high as I'd go on my little Tacoma, any bigger and I'd be looking at a V8 swap and SAS as well lol.

Keep telling yourself that :luvya: 37s vs 39s. Both aired up, just one is mounted on the truck

I didn't say you can't. I didn't say anybody can't. You also just stated a few things that tells me its a much better idea on your truck then on the one I described in my post, which is a lot of folks on here. To try and compare your truck to anyone else's is kinda ridiculous. For example, I have an AC with a 4 banger, 35s, aluminum alloy wheels, all my interior and no cage work and my truck weighs 4686# last time I went to the scrap yard

Im in the process of doing it!! 39.5's in the garage now. Crawl box was ordered last November... Should be here soon :annoyed: I will probably break stuff, but then Ill build it stronger!! Im thinking Ill swap a ton axle in the rear first, then collect the parts for the SAS from RST.

I'm going to look for someone local with 40's on 6 lug wheels so I can take a picture and be a poser.

2 inches up-travel & 11 or so inches down-travel = kickass if things hold up to those monster tires!!
