No these trucks are too underpowered.
For good gas milage you want low RPMs, maybe if these trucks came with an 8 speed or 10speed transmission.

We get V8 gas mileage with V6 power in these trucks

This is hilarious, the weenie hut part, it’s just so funny it gave me a really good chuckle. I had a rough day at work yesterday and needed something stupid and light. @oreganoflow just remember, it’s all just trucks and tires and sheet metal at the end of the day. Do what makes you happy, suits your needs & makes you feel comfortable. I’d say that only like 7% of the tacoma owner population should be putting 37’s on their trucks based on the amount of work and dedication it takes to set it up and do it right

Almost done, wish I could spend more time. This thing is dragging but it’s all worth it. Can’t wait to blow my steering rack the first month :spending:

I created one but I haven’t updated it in so long, I mostly just post progress on my IG.I’m learning to fabricate with all this so I’m just taking my time with it all.

Taking it apart is always the easy part.

Try using a copper plate as a backer. It will absorb some of the heat so you dont blow through as much, and its copper so your weld shouldnt stick to it if you do blow through.

Every time I go to HF I look for the copper backing that Jodi from welding tips and ticks but it’s never there. I’ll prob just end up ordering one. I found that having my pulse on definitely helps with heat.

this is currently my driver side, I’ve had a few scares already with gases getting tapped inside the body then blowing out when welding.

if you plan on turning then I would highly recommend cutting a portion of the wheel well/firewall.
