Load Range E tires were designed for full size truck because they haul a bigger payload. Load Range E = 10 ply tire which includes a thicker sidewall and has a max PSI of 80. Side they are rougher, heavier, and less give on the sidewall when you air down.

FYI i work at LEs Schwab tires, this is where i pull all this from, not just a random :)

My main concern was power loss and gas mileage, because they are just so heavy, i know a lot of people are running 285/75's on TW i just wanna know if they regret getting such a heavy tire or if they love them

You trade pros and cons -
You can check tire weight for yourself online(in some cases)

For instance alot of Load Range E 35/12.5 tires are from 80-86 lbs, my tire Load Range D (8-ply) in a 35x12.5 is only 67-70 lbs.

Along with the weight you can gain durability, thicker sidewall for puncture resistance, they will hole up better with added weight and hauling. From 31-33 i saw a loss of 3 mpg, and a small power difference. I do plan to re-gear to 4:56 someday.

OME 3" lift with 885 coils. OME Shocks with TSB 1.5 AAL. 285/75/16 KM2s. XD Hoss 16" wheels. DDM Tuning 6000K HIDs, H10 6000K Fogs. BHLM. Debaged. 20% tint on front windows.
Put this into consideration.... You are already lifting and putting 285s on the truck. You can't expect to get good MPGs anymore, so you will have accept that. Load range E on 285s is really common, my KM2s are load range E with a strong sidewall and you want a strong side wall when it comes to wheeling....

The only thing I noticed when I'm running my 265/75/16 E rated Coopers compared to my C rated studded winter tires is when I'm cornering. With both inflated to 35-40psi I notice the C rated tires feel much more mushy in turns, where my E rated tires keep my truck running much more level in turns. I can't compare MPG loss or gain because I'm running in 4wd half the winter so it kind reduces my calculations...and my bank account :(
