Don't be afraid to expand your search.

When I bought my truck I got a 1way plane ticket to a dealership 800 miles away. The dealership picked me up at the airport. I got my truck for about $12k less than what my local dealerships were asking.

I paid about 2500 over MSRP for my 2020 DCLB, but had under 7,000 miles and was in my eye close to new.
This was also the height of the pandemic and I got about 4 k over MSRP for my JKRU so it was actually a tiny bit of profit.
In the end I found a dealership in TX that had the exact color and config I wanted but no way I wanted to, nor had the time to go to TX,so had it shipped up here.
For under $800 saved me all the time and driving.

Great advice guys. Driving/flying up towards the northeast can get me pretty close for a new vehicle. Very much appreciated!

Question. Does the 5/60k warranty come from the factory? Can it be used at a local Toyota dealer?

I believe the bumper to bumper warranty is 3yr/36K with a 5yr/60 powertrain... and yes, any Toyota delaership for warranty issues.

Yes I see quite a few under MSRP. Anything in my area is 3k above MSRP. I don't mind making a trip.

Are the prices you guys are posting out the door pricing?

Seems some of these below MSRP pricing on cargurus.com are complete bait and switch. Dealers in Maryland advertising Off roads for <41k... but will not take even a non-refundable deposit to hold. And their yelp reviews confirm such chicanery. They'll take a deposit to hold a incoming truck, but of course no special 'internet pricing'... SMH. Damn I hate dealing with car salesman....

42.5k out the door for my 2023 sport and this figure also includes some add ons like the hard Tacoma tonneau cover, bed step, etc. this also includes taxes, fees, shipping/ handling etc etc.

I bought mine in Illinois which would be a drive but there was no BS. I found a TRD OR in their inventory currently advertised at $2,665 off MSRP. They charged me $324 dealer handling and nothing else (mandatory Nitrogen, window tint, etc). I highly recommend them, PM me if you want the names of who I worked with.

Used Tacoma's are always a bad deal. I bought my 21 TRD OR new for $36k new. At the time used 2018's were going $34-35k.

But, it has BED LINER. Got a unicorn there...

Serious Note, a new one near me is 41k, so is the savings worth 25k miles. Good Luck, nice truck!

I might have to hit you up if dont find something closer soon. Although I'd really like to avoid 1k miles of driving home.

Crazy how bad dealers are in NC. Just got a price for Off-road, 2k "discount" below 43k MSRP. But dealer adds back 3k in non-negotiable upgrades, 900 in documentation and OTD price is 46.1k.

Another Off-road premium @48k. Final price from dealer with 'market correction' is "Selling price is $52,927 plus tax, tags, and dealer processing." What an operation smh.

I shopped hard for the last 3 months. It's really hard to find a Tacoma that has zero add ons. They all have something.

I don't mind port installed adds as those are from Toyota (on the window sticker, not an addendum with adds), and many provide value. The one I linked you has bed mat at $180 which is about $45 more than I paid for mine but nice to have. Bed lights, all weather mats are all useful. I don't like the roof rack or cables but at the end of the day it's still $2,600 off MSRP.
