    I've noticed many times that threads I'm subscribed to stop alerting me in the top right alerts menu after some time. I'll end up seeing the thread at the top of the forum and I'm several pages behind. Is this supposed to happen?

    Some times if you don’t click on an alert to read the thread or don’t open the last page of the thread you will not get an alert for that particular thread, until you have opened the last/current page of that thread.
