For the 2017 tacoma there are 2 Threaded holes on the bed rail beneath the rear window. Anyone know what these holes are for? I'd like to use them to mount a bike rack to since I do not have a front rail system. What you the size be?

Those holes are for the OEM tonneau cover. There's a small bracket that goes there if you have the OEM cover.

Also myself and many folks have added the 2nd gen front rail with no issues. I suggest you do that. The bolts are already there, just buy the rail ~ 50 bucks.

Try your local dealer. Price was as good as I could get it shipped to me for from somewhere else.

    PT278-35100-BH

It was something like $34 or so.

Doesn't come with the plastic end caps; I've not missed them but will probably pick some up one day.

Anyone happen to know if you can replace this bar and hoe much it is? I drilled holes into it for my softtopper snaps and looks fine. Just curious if I were ever to get rid of the softopper and not want the snaps / holes anymore.

If I understand it correctly, it looks like it might be $309 - if you wanted to get it, I'd probably wait until the dealer has a parts discount.

I mounted a bracket there. I think they are 8s.
