    Good Day..
I have a little problem.. I removed the screws holding the air box and tilted it out of the way. Plenty of room to get at the T.B. I used a lint free towel and carb and throttle cleaner. I manually moved the butterfly till I could get in there with the towel. I wiped some residue.. wasn't much.. But enough to leave the towel pretty filthy. Looks pretty clean now. I have 21K on my 2K7 TRD Sport AC 6 spd.
I put everything back together and went for a ride. It starts fine but idles around 2k now.. It would idle @ 1-1.5k before I cleaned the T.B.
I double, triple checked everything and all looks good.
    Any Ideas..

    Regards,
    Gerry

it will idle like that til it relearns the mix. unhook your battery cable for a few minutes and reconnect it.

Are you sure you plugged back in the smaller vaccum/airlines connected to the airbox? there is a small one at the backside of the airbox that doesn't have alot of slack. A higher idle could also mean vaccum leak...

I am kind of new with the ECU in these trucks, most of the vehicles I have worked on in the past requires the disconnect to be done with a cold engine block, or a cold start after battery disconnect. Following the cold start, no throttle response until engine is warm. Had you heard of this with the Tacomas?
