    does anyone know about how much it would cost me to get my tob replaced and while the mechanic is in there what else should i go ahead and get done "2006 tacoma 4x4 4door"

    It's not the TOB. There a million threads on this issue. The fix is a metal sleeve that goes on the pilot shaft in the transmission. However, if you decide to have this done, you can change the TOB just to be safe.
