Wow, that was a lot of reading! Toyota needs to step up their game!

Anyone in San Diego have this done out of the 60k warranty?

I just joined the squeaky 6 speed party. really noticed it tonight when I was parked in the driveway at idle. Its very loud from right underneath the truck, and as I feared the sound goes away when i push in the clutch pedal. 2009 Double Cab 4x4 with 16,000miles. Im in Canada and my Tacoma came from the USA, hope I don't have any warranty challenges.

sorry to hear that bro. get the pdm and you can happily tell toyota corp to kiss your ass. I am very happy with mine.

disclaimer-I am only a customer of pdm and a very happy one. I do not get any kickbacks although I would take them :)

just did a competition stage 3 clutch, throwout with the urd sleeve kit, turns out its something in my tranny. still a chatter noise under the truck.i would seriously consider getting the tranny checked before wasting money on a fix that doesn't work. at least in my case. i'm sick of this fukin truck:mad::mad::mad:

yup . read it and weep. these trannys are fucking garbage. i will NEVER buy a toyota product agin. I just dropped over a grand into a fix that didn't work. my clutch feels great...but that fucking persistant chatter is still there. Mabe this is an odd case, but heh, i could save some of you guys some dough. This truck needs a graveyard in the bottom of the ocean. make sure you know its the throwout and not tranny related.

The part that pisses me more, is that these ass wipes know that the older models affected were out of luck. I almost had to go head to head with the only POS dealer in town. They were reluctant to even to look at it, but since I was just returning from overseas they did it...
My 07 experienced this issue at 28k miles and its warranty had about a week left by the time I took it to the dealer. My case was a bit different since I was just returning from overseas when this issue happened.

Now that they shit the TSB, it is covered under the powertrain coverage. Toyota corporate can kiss my ass. I fixed it with the PDM kit mentioned here. I know it will outlast the damn tranny or worst yet the truck.

The only thing that would make me happy is if they took production back to Japan and produce a fine product like they used to before they started it making them here and with cheaper materials.

Congrats for those that can take advantage of the TSB. Anybody got pics of the new parts? Specially the bearing assembly?

so toyota made good with the TO bearing, they were really good with this issue, they siad that Subaru had the same issues so a sleeve is on to the input shaft first then the bearing and other parts, the tech didnt evan leave the lot and knew what was up,Im glad its going to be fixed and no more chattering mice coming out from undernieth the truck, thanks to Tocma World and the the threads that are placed here by other subcribers, assume web sight
