Yeah I think it’s my headers have cracked. They where the original headers to the engine but I’ve had the rest of the exhaust changed less than 12 months ago.
Hopefully this is the case otherwise I’ve just wasted coin on new headers. Lol
Thanks for your reply. See how it goes

I’ve always just lived with it. But recently i drove to Florida and I filled up at bucces and didn’t realize I used the ethanol free gas until i put the gas cap back on. But i have to say the tick almost disappeared after 25 miles of driving .went through a drive through and noticed it was super quiet.and the truck ran smoother. I topped off before coming back to jersey and noticed i got probably another 25-30 miles out of a tank of gas. Is it safe to run ethanol free all the time?

That is a big YES. Our vehicles were designed to run on gas not water. I onlybuse ethanol free in my lawn equipment, generators, buggies, boats etc. That stuff sits a lil more but its worth it in maintenance costs, but everyday stuff i use junk gas. But ethanol free is good for your stuff. Alot of my friends with older vehicles only use it also.

Just did this to my '11 SR5, Cost $0.00 as i had some leftover o-rings from a project years ago, 5 minutes invested and silence, the tick was driver side and sounded like an exhaust leak / lifter tick, gone now! many thanks for this thread!!
