Fred, what you really mean good job Chris.

I didn't have anything to do with this post, but I'm glad I put the washers on my truck this morning.

After adding the washers I noticed a big difference.

I just realized that this thread is about putting washers on, I put orings on mine do you think washers would make it better? or should I just unbolt it and tie it to a near by hose?

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
The o-rings will work. They just might not last as long.

If you tighten the bolt too much, the ticking will not be as isolated. Only tigten the bolt until the rubber washers start to "smush" a little bit.

Tried with rubber washers and with the bolt out using a ty-wrap. Made it louder for some reason for me. Just my two cents!

Nothing new to tacomas. They've always had this tick. Been wondering alot lately how to quiet it down since I've been trying to listen to my new flowmaster. Trying it this weekend. Thanks for the post!:D Hope it works:pray:

Hardware stores have them. I got mine at Lowes for about 90 cents.
