Nice write up. This problem can also be fixed by installing a louder exhaust system (louder than clicking noise)

I haven't a clue, so will say none.
Rubber washers, like maybe in the end of a garden hose?

Have any of the bolts backed out from not snugging them down? What about some blue locktite on the loose snuggings?

The Washers from a garden hose are too large. Bolts are still snug.

    back to bone stock.
a M8 vibration isolation bumper would be the best way..but mine hasnt worked loose yet either.

We can do it when you get your Fog lights. Pick up the rubber things at an Ace. :)

not sure what "isolation bumpers" are but wouldn't the stock reinforced rubber plumbing washers work just fine? Like was mentioned, you can get them any where and they should be durable enuf. JAT

Just read all 8 pages... and searched 'ticking'.

Is this the same ticking that you get from 1750 rpm to 2000 when switching gears according to the manual? 1-8 first to second 9-15 second to third 15-24 third to fourth 25-34 fourth to fifth 35-41 fifth to sixth?

Hey was wondering if you could install an oil catch can here. Says somewhere on the first page that the valve is suppose to force fumes into the charcoal container. I had a catch can on my old nissan and thought it might be a good idea here.

Hey Guys, I think the loud engine noise comes from the exhaust header pipes. If you look there's no shroud blocking or insulating the sound. I wonder if the header pipes are a little thin on the 2nd gen taco's? Anyone replace the headers and get rid of the annoying engine noise?

I have done this in the past, but the ticking is still there. A quality header will dampen any noise being emitted by the exhaust though.
