Tie Down Cleats - to Trust, or NOT to Trust

    thanks! i ended up getting them from my supplier at cost...they worked great! (thanks spp). i ended up installing them in the very front corner of the bed on the floor of the bed (the instructions were to install them on the sidewall of the bed, but since the x-runner bed is basically just plastic, and the floor seems to be thicker than the sidewall, that seemed like the best choice)
    i ended up only hauling my bike (about 350lbs +/-) and all my gear, and everything was snug as a bug in a rug :D

    i strapped it up with a tiedown...so, no

    however, i think if i loaded the bike diagonally it would have been no problem

    That's what I was afraid of... Maybe I'll try deflating the tires to squeeze the bike in there.

    I'll have a lot of stuff going to Arkankas so I'll need the tailgate up.

    you might need to empty both tires for it to fit...:( sorry!

    I thought about the floor of the bed but since I have a bed mat it would interfere.
    Sides are about 3/8" thick and since the forces most likely are pulling up the sheer strength of the sides is pretty darn strong.

    This is great, I too haul a dirtbike (crf450X) and wanted a more secure method, I'll order some of the d-rings!

    thats a pretty good question i wonder if they even would i know the dealer i got to have alot of there aftermarket parts installed at a different place

    It ain't that tough. All you need is a drill some wrences and an extra set of hands would be nice. I did it myself in less than an hour.

    you know, i'm not sure what i have...i assume it's a standard length bed, but i couldn't honestly say....does anyone know what comes standard on the xrunner?
