tightening E brake?

    Mud tires, lifted, bull bar, billet grille, HID's, smoked tail lights
    i have a 2003 tacoma< and the E brake light is on and it needs tightening and i dont wanna take it some where because i was told i could do it myself, does ANYone know anything about that? or what it intails?
