don’t know didn’t replace my sway link threw it out.

if my LBJ complains I grease it. It’s been replaced. Old ones had miles, age, lack of grease fitting, and clunked over speed bump. Cheap to do.

Ball joints hold the knuckle to the control arms.
You don’t want a ball joint failure. The wheel is attached to the knuckle;)
Remember what holds the knuckle to the spindle?

You should replace the ball joint sooner than later.

I sure do. Is it easier to just replace the LCA entirely?

Not if your cam bolts are seized.

You can do the LBJ like any others.

That said, I'll probably replace the whole LCA when I do mine.
I have lifetime alignment and use it 2-3 times a year.
My bolts are free and not frozen.

Plus, at almost 200k on the truck. The bushings need done anyways.

really up to you if you want to put whole new OEM arms. They say that’s better than aftermarket. Not sure how true.

I rebuilt worn out arms with fresh bushings and LBJs from RockAuto and whatnot. Scuffed and painted the arms.

the bushing design kinda hard to press in. Easy to knock out with a bottle jack and hammer.
Well not hard you just need to have the right sleeve press tools which I had only a few.
