    Hmmm, when I got up this morning at 730 it was -4F. Bet it takes awhile to get to optimum temps when its this cold:cool: My current residence does not have a handy place for me to plug in the block heater. I really try to NOT start up my truck when its below zero. I figure that it cant be too good for it.

    this morning, 37* ambient temp, I noticed that when the engine is at 182 degrees, and you turn the heater on full heat, hi fan setting the engine temperature will drop 5 degrees.

    I finally got my temp to go below zero!!!!
    Ben hanging out in Prescott last couple days.
    It sat at ZERO when I knew it was colder outside.
    Finally last night while returning to our hotel it hit -1 Whoooo Hooo

    Of course all temps are in Canadian. Thats what C next to the numbers means correct? ;)

    I checked this morning.

    IAT was 39 when I hit the starter.
    Heat on full, but the fan straight up (is that 1 or 2?).
    Took 12 minutes to get to 199 at 60mph.

    I think thats the #2 setting. Any setting of the heat + fan seems to increase the length of time it takes to heat up.

    Conservative driving.

    Don't romp on it until it's up to temp, but extended cold idling is hard on your engine, catalytic convertor, and oil.

    Start it up, and drive. AS long as the oil pressure is good (Oil light will be off), all will be fine for driving.
