Timing Belt Tensioner ? plz help

Hi first off let me start by saying i have been haveing a loud noise comeing from front of the motor kind like a bad bearing and it grew worse over time well today i finly got around and start takeing things off and i noticed my fan wables like crazy and its going out as well as the power stearing pump so im going replace them both tommarow and i want to make sure its not the Tensioner before i put everything back togather. I noticed i can wiggle the timming belt side to side and the tensioner wiggles and has play in it instead of staying solid! is it supposed to do that? or is it bad as well?
