Okay, I did a quick search and scroll and didn't specifically read anything about this. Sorry if it has been covered. I missed it. My "quick message reply" #1 message is dimmed (grayed out I guess) and won't let me edit it or send it. It's the one that says "I am driving and will arrive in approximately ..." This is actually one that I would probably use the most, but for some reason it went away. I'd edit it to something else too, but it won't let me do anything with it.

Any ideas or solutions to this one?

    Thanks in advance.Quick Reply.jpg

You can change the TOYOTA default image on models with JBL radios to a custom image of your choice. YouTube it to find out more.

Tried that too, turned on the"Show Notifications" and was able to receive one text message after multiple attempts. Then the other text messages after that failed.

So it would seem that this feature seems buggy.

Makes no difference if I'm parked or driving. It's just grayed out.

Believe you have to actively be using navigation for that one to show.

Hmmm. I may have to check that out. It makes sense. I wonder if this changed with an automatic upgrade or something. I remember using it before, but maybe I had nav on. I hate the Entune navigation so usually, if I have to rely on nav, I just use google nav on my phone via bluetooth.

Thanks, I'll check it out and give feedback if it works. I'm going to a place tomorrow that I've never been to so it'll be a good test.

Hit the lock button. The doors will lock. As soon as you shut the last one, it will chirp to indicate it's locked.

FYI it will not chirp if you've turned that annoying feature off

Pushing the lock button on the fob causes a continuous tone until you hit unlock. That's what I'm trying to overcome. I know you can do it via the lock button in the door...would like to able to do it with the fob so I don't have to open the front door too.

I tried deleting phone from the truck then connecting again as suggested by others here and it apparently works good now. Not sure if it was the recent iOS 10.3.1 update or what. But I'm happy now it works every time. The only thing I noticed that's different is how the iPhone list "my devices". The old was "Toyota car assesories" and the new is "Toyota Tacoma" not sure if that matters.

True. I wish it honked the horn instead. I can barely hear the chirp sometimes.

Could be different. Sr5 has a different type of key and fob. I discovered this locking feature on accident. I was getting stuff out of the back seat and mashed the keys. I heard the doors lock and then the chirp when I shut the back door. The front door was already shut so the back was the last one left open. Now I use this all the time... But beware that it gives no shits if your keys are in your hand or on your seat when the doors shut and fully lock.

The feature also works with the front door.

So I used my navigation system yesterday, and your statement is correct. While I had navigation activated, that message became active and it would send the text calculating my time of arrival. That had changed somehow from when I first got my truck because it was more of a generic statement. Mystery resolved. Thanks for the suggestion!!
