If it’s any consolation: I did 15 minute test drives...on three different occasions. I was even warned about Tacoma seats. But I didn’t feel any discomfort. Now I find I get sore after 45 minutes of sitting in the truck.

I like your idea of bringing it up with the dealer. Perhaps they have a solution —I know, I am being optimistic here :) Failing that, I’ll try the spacers.

I developed this same issue with my 2013 Wrangler Rubicon. It was caused by my right heel pressing against the lower portion of the transmission hump. After 2+ hours in that position, pressure would build on my right knee.

Not knowing what it was I went to the doctor: got diagnosed with incipient arthritis, given a knee brace, glucosamine and physiotherapy sessions. But the issue persisted.

I finally connected the pain with sitting in the Jeep on long drives. Then noticed this tall rib running all around the all-weather floor mats. The space next to the transmission hump was tight and the floor mat was making my right heel twist.

In this particular case replacing the floor mats that took care of the problem. But goes to show how much doctors really know...

Or if you want a Tacoma with powerseats then wait for the 2020 and trade in. I think it will cost far more than $5K

depending on what you get if you trade in, but the 2020 tacoma gets you; power seats, front camera/ 360 panoramic camera, the new entune dashboard (android auto/ carplay or whatever it is), new grille, and probably a few other little things - oh and the Pro has the sexy new green paint.

    but each their own :cookiemonster:

I was speaking of more than $5k price difference between the Ram and Tacoma.

Quick question, hopefully this thread works as a place to ask. Why do phone calls come through my entertainment system and not texts? Lets say I'm listening to XM and get a call, the music will quiet and the ringtone will sound. The only way I get text notifications is if I'm listening to my phones music. I've gone through every notification thing in the system and cant figure it out.

I have same issue. I have tried all the listed "fixes" to no avail. I have also reset to stock and started over. I have a hunch that it may have something to do with iMessages (for iPhone users) but not sure yet.

I gave up. I have never been so uncomfortable in my entire life. I traded for a RAM and lost $5 grand. Expensive life lesson to do my research before i shell out 35,000 on something. Dumb move on my part. I only have myself to blame.

The difference is freaking amazing. It is night and day as far as comfort.

Go to settings on your iPhone and hit Bluetooth, under “my devices” tap the “i” with the blue circle that is your Bluetooth connection to your Tacoma, make sure your “show notifications” is toggled green and you’ll be go to go!

I have tried that numerous times and had to shut off iMessage to get mine to work.

Exactly, the seat is like a sliding board in stock form, lifting the front would seem to help level it out.

Nope. Lift the rear. Lifting front would be counter productive. Think about it!

I have, the front is too low and I am constantly having to shift myself back.

Lift the rear. Not the front. Guys are stubborn and gonna do what they do!

Everyone is different, lifting the rear of the seat would make things worse for me.

Then spend some cash lifting the front. When you realize the error there are a bunch of places here to get rear seat risers.

Its not an error brother, I slide forward in the seat now, if I jack the rear up it will make it worse.
