I have an 07 4x4 Taco with the factory 245/75 16s on steelys. I have a chance to buy a set of 265/70/17s mounted on 07 FJ cruiser wheels. They are the stock set up on the FJ. Anyone know if that would work on my truck with out a lift? He says they will. Thanks

My toyota is not a TRD or SR-5, is there anthing that would make MikeDaz's set-up not work on my base model 4x4 (such as differences in stock suspension between my rig and Mike's TRD)? I'm looking into the same tire/wheel combo

Mines not a TRD either. I just got the suspension TSB and put the decals on. The SR5 wouldn't make a difference. That's just power options.

Any issues with the tire pressure sensors?

I have tires and wheels that I run in the winter too. They don't have the sensors either. The light only came on twice all winter.I have read that the light can come on just from cold tires. I have had these tires and wheels on for over a week and no light. I don't think the sensors work right and the tire shops hate them. I like to check my own tire pressure anyway. I'm curious about other Taco's. If there light stays on all the time with out the sensors. Mine comes on when you first turn on the key but it always goes out. There are some posts on disabling the light but I didn't need to do that.

Thats funny, i have a TRD sport and im thinking of taking the stickers off, to me they make the truck look cheap, stickers are for kids  just busting, to each their own.

I have a TRD Off-Road and Debadged the truck but left the TRD stickers on. I liked the look. :D My son is the one that thinks they should come off. "Dad go stealth." Maybe in the future.

I looked at the same set up for winter tires (studs) but went with stock size because the type of tire was better. Have not had them on (since the truck did not arrive until end of March) but was told the light will stay on when they are on the truck. It is interesting that yours does not.

I like the tires and wheels on your truck. Good choice. UNH 81 :D

Thanks, AK.:) I got the 17'' alloy spare too. It fit under the bed with no problems. That's something to consider if anyone is thinking of switching from 16's to 17's is to get a spare that matches your tire size.
