I have a Tacoma 2008 Access Cab 4x2. I want to get new tires. The original tires are:

    Dunlop AT20 GrandTrek P215/70R15 97S M+S

I have always liked Michelin Tires. When I bought the truck the salesman/dealer made the statement that Tacoma trucks "don't do well with Michelin tires". A very generic statement.

What brand of tires are the best or most people like for their Tacoma trucks?

    thanks.

    David.

Welcome to TW!! A lot of people run the BFG A/T. Dont know if they will fit your truck. Sounds like you have a 5 lug base model. Give us a little more on your truck. We can help better with a little more detail.

Yes. It is the base model Access Cab 4x2. I drive 100 miles a day round trip to work and back on the interstate. No off road stuff. It is a 5 lug nut tire.

    What is BFG AT?

    thanks.

Color matched door handles, Weathertech floor liners, bed mat, Durafit seat covers, tailgate clamp, 2016 TRD Sport 17" wheels with Yokohama Geolander AT tires , Toyota exhaust tip, Toyota/Yakima bike rail mount, Toyota wheel locks, Toyota hitch cover, Redline hood struts, unifilter on air pump.
Welcome to the forum. You may want to check out Tire Rack.com. They have great reviews and info to help you make a desicion on tires. The tires that came on your truck (and mine) are not very good in my opinion. BTW, BFG AT stands for BF Goodrich all terrain. Great tire, but probably overkill for your application if you are not going off road.
