Haven't ran the KO2s. I'd consider trying them if they make a 265/75/16 in a C-Rating. Loved the looks of the duratracs and the fact I can get them in a C. I do some highway commuting but I also do a lot of ice fishing that I access on some private pieces of land. Land that requires driving thru some DEEP ruts that are either packed with snow or a combination of melting snow and soft mud. They have performed absolutely incredible in these situations. With the rugged fails I had to use 4wd at all times on this trail. I had the truck sunk in the mud with only about 1/4 wheel showing and it crawled out in 2wd with the D-Tracs. Snow performance is top notch. Road manners are way better than I expected. Not too loud. Balanced well and very smooth on the highway with no shaking. I'm only at about 18k miles on them but they have barely worn at all. I was worried about all the balancing issues people talked about but haven't experienced any. Only time these tires aren't great is when the road has a light mist on it. Heavy rain they perform well but a lightly damp road they will spin a bit on start out. I think you'd see this with any aggressive tread tire though. If you are looking to go cheaper I'd put in a vote for the Dynapro ATMs as well. Have them on my work truck. GREAT tire at the price point! Wish they made these in a C-Rating.

The Wal Mart website has one of the best selections of tires that I have seen. They also have good specs like weight. I spent a lot time researching tires before I bought the ST Maxx's. I ran Duratracs on my 2009 Prerunner for 30k before I sold it. I had planned to put them on my 2013 until I read about the STs. For some reason the Wal Mart site quit showing the STs in 265/75/16. I was disappointed because they had them $20 cheaper than Discount. In fact they had them delivered for the same price as Tread Depot without shipping. In the end it did not matter because the Labor Day rebates at Discount put them $10 / tire lees than the Wal Mart price.

Just to note this, I'm sure plenty steer away from the Duratracs because sidewall or balance issues that many talk about. The balance issue is simply the tire shops fault most of the time. These tires are hard to balance, this is true. So a good thorough balance is needed. I know this because my first balance wasn't great, I wasn't happy after 45+Mph so I took it back. I'm a regular at this shop btw I ripped them once before. So they rebalanced them using a different tech there. He used metal weights instead and road force balanced and all was well. Balance them correctly! No stick on weights and go with a road force balance.

I hated my duratracs. Certainly the worst tires Ive ever had. The tire place I had put my new tires on said the same about goodyear.

Duratracs, I had the KO2's on my Jeep for a while and was not impressed. Caked up and slipped too much for me.
