meh i have 40k on mine, they still look alright...

sidewalls are fine on them. ive beat mine up on some nasty shit. the tread does chunk on sharp rock but 90% of people are fine

I know I'm probably the first to say this, but my Hankooks started out awesome. Now with less than 30k on them, they are wearing terribly.

discount tire direct is giving me half my original price back on a new set of tires. Don't know what i'm going to go with next. Maybe Yokohama Geolander ATS.

The only thing I liked about my last truck is the 325/60/20 Terra Grapplers! Load Range E tires like that last forever on a 1500.
I think they would be great on a Tacoma.

I plan on picking up a set of the 265/70/17 Wardens when my current Dunflops wear out. I researched and heavily considered the Guard Dogs, but I don't think I can justify an M/T. How noisy are they and how is the on-road handling?

ive been really temped to get those tread rights... for 6 of them shipped would be cheaper than 4 new tires from BFG or goodyear

Of what you listed the BFg, or the atz. I actually got 82k miles from a set of atz's on one of my trucks they are very good in the snow too.

I prefer the Nitto's over the BFG A/T's.

just checked out your whole build thread! truck looks good. how do the atz's perform in the snow and rain? i've heard the BFG A/T are a bit of a handful in the rain...

Ive never really had them in serious snow, but the little bit that they were in was handled just fine. They are great in the rain. The whole reason why I got them was because they seemed like the most aggressive tire with sipes for rain/snow.

We don't get much rain in Colorado but I drove them in lots of snow and they are amazing in snow light or very deep.

btw I know the Cooper at3 weren't in your list but one reason I picked them recently was the 55k warranty and the price was about 150 less than the bfg at's that I originally wanted

    I like it
This truck is a work truck - not a lot of fancy mod's here, but it's getting the job done!
I like the yokohama geolander a lot - great tire on my 03 4runner... just don't let Discount Tire balance them - every single one I have been too doesn't understand balancing tolerances... I buy from them for the price and warranty, but I take my vehicles elsewhere for balancing...
