I am not sure if this has been discussed yet, but does anyone know how large of tires you can get away with on a 2006 Tacoma with 16 inch rims. I am not impressed with the factory tires and am thinking of replacing them with some BFG's. I want to go with 265/75R/16, but I do not know if I will have clearance issues.

Anyone upsize their factory tires yet? Thanks,

    SAM

suggestions: 35" with a 3" lift. i have 295/40/20's custom wheels. so it is your preference.

You shouldn't have any problems with that size tire, your only going to have a total of a 1 inch increase in tire diameter, 1/2 inch radius isn't going to make that much difference.

Has a fold up cover, gets an extra 2-3 mpg on hwy.
I have a 2wd, going to put some highlander 16's on it.
What would be the size i should put on to keep the odometer/speedo correct?
    i'm thinking 235-65-16?
    anyone?
    thanks in advance.

I have 16" Rav4 rims. not highlander, don't know if that matters.
They are chromed and will show off the white and Chrome rear bumper very nicely. not too tiajuana i hope!
    Tire size...?
A buddy says since my stock size is 215-70-15,
I could go with a 205-65-16 and not mess up the speedo and odometer.
i think I am already 3mph slow on the speedo ....
what size do I go with?
This could be a crap shoot!
    I am still thinking a 215-65-16, maybe a 235-65-16.

    HELP !!!

    I have Rav4 rims on with a 225-60-16 tire.
looks very nice, has enough clearance all around .

thinking about upgrading from stock steel rims to a sequoia rim, it's 17'' x 6'' is this a good option for an 07 double cab?

running a 05 reg cab 4x4 with 265 75 16's. no clearance problems. I must point out though, these are blizzack dmz-2 and not some knobby mud tires which might present a clearance problem. Your best bet is to go to tireracks website or call them as they are extremely knowledgeable about what fits and what does not.

I have an 07 2wd regular cab tacoma and I was wondering what is the biggest wheel and tire combo I can put on before running out of room in my wheel well lol. I am looking for as much height without having to put a lift kit on

IIRC 265/65R17 or an equivalent is about as large as you can go without a lift.
