20% tint on the front windows. 8-15-13 Installed Icons front and rear with Dakars. 2012 4Runner wheels with 275/70/17 BFG T/A KO2's. Weather Tech mats front and back. Leer shell with Leer Locker and roof racks.
Looking to put new tires on my DCLB after I install the Bilsteins and have narrowed it down to two Michelin LTX MS2 or Goodyear Wrangler Silent Armor. I don't do much OR but some Lake Tahoe snow in winter. And as for size I'm thinking 275/65R18's my stock rims once I remove the ridiculous chrome clad and powder coat. These tires net out at 32.1 and believe they will fit. What would you do?

    Thanks!

Depends on what you set the bilsteins at.

I believe .85 would give me 1 1/2" in the front correct? I like a little rake like stock. I have read so much I'm starting to get a bit confused though.

.85 will give you .85 lift

Since you are a 2012 sport you should have 4 leaf rear so if you set it at 1.75 you should almost be level but a likely little rake that will go away over time as the stock springs suck balls and will sag if you tow or haul much.

If you are picky about ride quality and want to go with around a 1.75" lift look into OME 883/884 springs on ome shock or 5100's set at 0 instead for a stock style ride just lifted or the eibach which are 1.6 on 5100's set at 0 but they are a little much for some but handle nice in the corners.

I have the eibach and they are just right for me.

You will be able to run the tire fine with the slight lift or stock but likely loose mudflaps due to clearance.

^ x2. Get rid of the mudflaps anyway, you can sell them for $80 or they will fall off on the highway.

Thanks for the input. I'd like to maintain a bit of stock ride so I'll look into your suggestions as I have seen that all over here. The OME looks like my best bet.

Even still stock the mud flaps came off 30 minutes after getting home from the dealer.

I had the Goodyears on a previous truck. They were a pretty good all around tire, but only adequate in the snow. The Michelin is better rated for snow driving and is actually one of the highest rated tires in its category.

I had the Michelins on my 2008 4Runner and they great. I will probably stick with them again.

I just put 275/65/18s on and had minor rubbing even at 1.75" lift.

Maybe I should go with a full 3" lift.

KPT how do you think it will be with a factory wheel offset, would this be more or less trimming needed for the OP??

So the only difference likely is your width, which is 9" versus and stock should be 7.5 I believe, not positive on that since the factory 18"s are seldom see at this point.
