Have you always run the C load Duratracs? I saw that they actually come in a P load and I have been curious about that just in terms of gas mileage.

Thanks, that is a good tire. I had the AT3 on my second gen and it cleaned out surprisingly well. I would like something more towards a hybrid with a little more aggressive tread. Wishing form something I can't have I guess.... the ST Maxx is sweet but only comes in an E and I just don't need it or want it. It's starting to look like the Duratrac will be my next tire...

No problem! Yeah, I'm having a tough time trying to keep up with who said what and have give up being able to respond to everyone...:). We have a lot of knowledge to draw from on this forum so it's good to get some feedback. I've been around a while myself but am new to the world of mods. Not for long though...

Falken AT3W also come in C, and seem aggressive compared to some. Duratracs are prob the most aggressive.

    This is a test wheel/tire I mounted.

Wheel is Level 8 16x8 -10 in gunmetal. Aired up to max with regular valvestem and not balanced. weighed in at 68.5 lbs

Originally not Expo AF! Kinda Expo AF now...lame.
My Falken Wildpeaks are impressively quiet and handle great. 265/70r17 load E but lighter than most E. Ride is as good as my Goodyear Adventure P Metric. Aggressive tread for an all terrain. Maybe those come in C?

    Technically, it's not a Load C.
    That's a ETRTO SL 116 load index.
After a 1.1 factor LT-to-metric correction, it has a comparable max load to a C-rated; for this particular size.
    A C-rated achieves this at 50 PSI.
A SL 116 achieves it at 36 psi.

If construction is not a factor, then a SL 116 or higher load index gives more pro and less con to a buyer who shys away from E-rated.

Yes technically it is not , I should have been more specific, by saying it was another non E- load range offering. Totally agree with your assesment of weight handling.

I think we're on the same page.
Just saying...if construction isn't a factor, but weight and load rating are...
I think a lot of C-load shoppers would be happy with a SL 116, especially for the reasons they state for wishing to avoid an E-rated.

    I love mine!
I wanted the ST Maxx, but for 3/4 the price, and a damned sturdy feeling tire on the showroom floor... I had a set mounted.
I was in the mud and climbing slimy rocks within an hour and I'm impressed.

They look MUCH more aggressive in person. That tread is deep for an AT.

    20170326_124947.jpg
Just noticed the mud in the pic... And no, it wasn't that mud. I was buried to the sliders.
    Tires did great.

The pictures of the tire do not capture how aggressive and great it looks. The pictures I took do not look good in my opinion, but looking at tire in person is a whole different story.
