So i have had my new 08 Prerunner Double cab with the TRD rugged trail package (silver with black fender flares and black sport rims) and I gotta say one thing (aside from I love this truck)......

The BF Goodrich Rugged Trail TA's are some kick arse tires in the snow!! I live in the chicago area and it seems we just keep getting snow and cold and so far, this truck just goes right on through. I love these tires and would get them again for sure. Now, once we have temps above freezing and I can wash my truck, I will post some pics.

Just had my tube steps and bed extender installed yesterday too :)

I agree they do well in the hard packed snow and Ice very sticky. But in powder they don't do well and also if your after any loose terrain traction they suck, but very good for a DD.

I can't wait to get rid of the Dunlop's on mine and I think I may go with these as a replacment. By the way how did the install for the bed extender go?

    Piece of cake :)

Unfortunately, I cannot use it with the dirt bikes in the truck but it has many other uses :D

I will have to disagree. They are some of the worst tires I have ever owned. Take a look at the reviews online....terrible. Those things in the winter almost cost me a couple accidents. Swapped over to some revo's and couldn't be happier.

LOL...wow, I guess I brought up some emotions on this one :D Well, maybe it's because I am coming off of a ford lightning but these tires seem to do fine in the snow if you drive normally. I see no reason to get rid of them until they wear out but I am sure there are better ones out there for sure

My stock Dunflaps lasted only 12k on my truck. I had one blow out and a bubble on another sidewall.

I had the Rugged Trails on my 01. They were ok, but did not last long.

I wish I could replace them, but I can't justify spending the money right now when the Dunlops are still good. OK well they may be far from good but they are still round and have some tread left. Are the BFG All terrain any better?

I replaced them with BFG AT's. I love those tires. I had a set on my 4runner that had 45k when I sold it. They were 1/2 gone though.

I had a warranty with Americas Tire company, so i ended up buying 2.5. The used the Dunflaps as credit for the rest.

BFG All Terrains are a fine tire. Totally adequate in most conditions. I will never buy a set of Dunlops again. Garbage!

Believe me, if they did not come on the truck I would never have paid for them

Yeah, when these Rugged trails wear out, I am going to get the All Terrain T/A's I think. But hell, I have 200 miles on my truck....I ain't buying anything except gas for a while :D
