Tire pressure PSA

Just a friendly reminder to those of us that live in areas where the temps start to cool down this time of year: Check your tire pressure. For every 10 degree drop in air temp, you'll lose about a pound of tire pressure.

The best time to check them is when they are at their coldest (not driven and/or sitting in the sun). Continue to check them very regularly as the temps continue to drop with winter setting in.

And don't forget your spare. Drop it down and check it. Mine was at 15 lbs. Although 29 psi is the recommended factory pressure, go ahead and bump the spare to at least 35 psi or more. The spare is out of site and out of mind and this will ensure it will be ready if you need it.

Also, with the spare down and out this is a good time to clean the spare wheel's lug nut area (it will be dirty) and shoot some lube in the wheel hoist.
